sakura shrimp: Sakura is the name of a flower. The name is derived from the color of the sakura. Because the fish has the color of the sakura. The color is a semi-transparent pink color. That is a very nice color. Although they are known by the names of Lucenzo Sergia Lucens and Sakura Ebi. They could be grouped for the phylum of arthropods. Although their kingdom is the Animalia.
Lifespan
Their usual Lifespan is a very short period of time. However, they can exist for 15 months of time. That means it is a bit over than one year. That is not even exact. The period of life would be reduced due to more and more effects. One such reason is health problems. Usually, the shrimps would be matured after the hatching. Although their death will take place usually 3 months later of the spawning. The shortening of the Lifespan of the sakura shrimps might happen due to the changes in their living environments. They may be affected by the stress while they shift from one environment to another one.
Appearance
The appearance of the sakura shrimp is amazing. Also always these may be the eye-catcher on the aquarium. All of the viewers would be fascinated with their unique appearance. Their semi transparent pink color is only unique for them. There won’t be any other living creature similar in color. Although they are not totally pink, they show some red characteristics too.
Size
Usually, they would grow at a length of 2 inches long. That is their maximum length. Therefore they are some tiny species of the shrimps. The females are bigger than the male shrimps. But most of the time there won’t be anyone to the length of the 2 inches. The maximum length of the females is about 1.5 inches and for males, it is only 1.25 inches.

Sakura Shrimp Care
The shrimps are always easy to care for. Therefore there won’t be any difficult issues taking place. To them, low maintenance is required, and even although they are self sufficient too. But they can’t quickly adjust to the water conditions. Most of the time they wouldn’t be able to adjust to newer water conditions while staying on one before. While taking care of them the water condition has to be stable and water has to be purified too. Make sure that the water is ammonia free, and low nitrates. Also, the caretaker has to be alerted while the medications and has to avoid copper based products. Because those are harmful to the shrimps.
Tank Size
The minimum tank size that is required for the sakura shrimp is 2 gallons. That is the minimum. But that has to be bigger than that. Even the tank size dependent on the amount of the fishes to be put in the tank. If there are a higher number of fishes to be put in the tank, the size of the tank might be larger.
Water Parameters
There have to be some more features adjusted to living fishes inside the tanks. If there are no such features the shrimps can’t live
pH level – 6.8 – 7.5
Temperature – 65°F – 80°F
Type of the water – TDS 80 – 200, kH 0 -1 0, gH 4 – 14
The conditions of the water have to be checked correctly. Therefore use the devices to measure these parameters correctly and then allow the shrimps to feel comfortable.
What To Include In The Tank
The environment of the tank has to be created as suitable for the living of sakura shrimps. The caretaker of the shrimps can make the tank to be looked like a natural body. Here the freshwater has to be filled with the tank. Deposit a layer of sand or small stones at the below layer of the tank. Then above that grow some plants in the top layer. After that supply light required for the growing needs.
Diseases To Watch Out For
There are no more diseases that take place with the sakura shrimps. The main disease that took place with the sakura shrimps is copper poisoning. Although they need some more copper and calcium too. They are poisoned to the copper but they require some copper. Due to the pore water quality even there might be some health issues can be arisen.
Food & Diet Recommendations
The sakura shrimps need only a little amount of food. Although don’t try to over feed the shrimps too. Because the overfeeding might be caused for the death of the shrimps even. Their maximum feeding time is only two hours. Additional to the foods for the sakura shrimps there are more other types of meals for them. Chopped vegetables would be a solution for the meals even.
Temperament & General Behavior
Their behavior is not so critical. They can easily be maintained. Although they are popular as a type of peaceful and non aggressive fishes type. Always they are active natural creatures. Therefore they will swim and continuously doing multiple activities just without taking a break too. Always they are busy.

Tank Mates
These are a type of dwarf natural creatures. Therefore the big fishes would take them by assuming the sakura shrimps as their meal. Therefore they have to keep only with the similar sized fishes. Some of these similar sized fishes are Danios, Guppies, Micro Rasboras, other types of shrimps, and Corydoras catfishes. Note down that, don’t keep the sakura shrimps with the other aggressive types of fishes.
Breeding
The types of shrimps are very easy to be breed. Caretakers don’t want to do anything for breeding. Therefore they even wanted to supply the necessary conditions required for breeding. The females will carry about 50 eggs once. They spent only 3 months to be matured and for the hatching process. These all are about the popular type of shrimp called the sakura shrimp. Most people love to have this type of shrimp because these are colorful and due to the behavior of these shrimps.
